QS号码有一定的规律性，消费者可凭数字号码来识别真假。
所有QS号码均由12位数字组成，前4位为认证受理机关的编号，一般是指企业所在地行政区划的代码，中间4位数字为产品类别代号，后4位数字为该产品通过QS认证的顺序号。有条件的消费者可上国家质监局网站查询，将QS码输入，看是否和企业产品相对应，可以立即辨别真假。
